Main Street & Downtown – presented by Beth Welin
Beth Welin, Collections Manager at Hammond Castle Museum, will present the program “Gloucester’s Main Street Through the Ages.” Utilizing old maps, photos and postcards we will take a “stroll” down Main Street seeing former buildings and businesses that once stood along the street. We will learn what the original names of the street were and travel through time to place ourselves in various locations at different time periods. For those unfamiliar with Beth’s Gloucester History Sharing Programs, come prepared to take part in the program as we will discuss and share our collective knowledge and memories.
Join us for a new lecture series celebrating Gloucester’s rich culture and history.
