Laura M. Alberghini Ventimiglia
A long-time resident of Gloucester whose family here spans six generations, Laura’s experience is rich in gathering peoples' stories. For more than 35 years and in a variety of settings across two countries, she has been interviewing people, writing
their stories and helping others do the same. Most recently she consulted with the administrators of L’Archivio Storico in Cento, Italy as they developed their online museum, Nulla Osta per il Mondo, and she continues to work with them gathering immigrant stories for their collection. As a college educator and administrator for more than 20 years, Laura authored educational articles and chapters in anthologies. Since retiring her publications have focused on family history articles and books of Italian heritage. Her love for Gloucester stems from its uniqueness and its people whose stories bring its history to life.
