Unboxing Dogtown – Presented by Leslie Bartlett
Mr. Barlett will present artifacts unearthed from cellars in the historic Dogtown region of Gloucester and Rockport revealing much of what colonial life was like on Cape Ann.
The Dogtown artifact collection spans from the 1920s through to 2023.
“Unpacking Dogtown” will highlight:
* The opening of a cigar box of artifacts for the first time.
* A video never before shown of digging in a Dogtown cellar in the 1960s.
* Paintings and graphics researched and revealed to the public for the first time.
* A map drawn by a high school student in the 1960s.
Join us for a new lecture series celebrating Gloucester’s rich culture and history.
